Citi Field always manages to provide me with plenty of new  ammunition to support my contention that it’s given the Mets a clear Home Field Disadvantage.

Every homestand brings new levels of Mets suckitude at Citi Field, and this current homestand didn’t take very long to manifest some more Mets angst after reaching a new Mets low.

With last night’s 6-1 loss to the Brewers, the Mets became the first team in major league history to lose the opening game in their first 10 homestands of a season.

The 1913 Reds and 1987 White Sox, who each lost the opener of their first nine homestands, are now off the hook.
