Should Mets fans be worried about the team’s recent stretch of bad games against worse teams? Maggie understands the cause for concern, but thinks this team is too good to stay in this bad stretch of games:
“There definitely was a period where it was getting frustrating because it felt like the team was just treading water, they would have a couple of really good games, then get embarrassed, and then be really good again…It’s almost like they kept forgetting the really good games and just had the embarrassments repeatedly. I can’t even say that they just need to hit, because they do need to hit but also need to pitch better, but that being said I don’t think this is the kind of slump that necessarily makes you think It’s going to be for awhile even if it feels like it…this is a really good baseball team that’s just playing bad ball at the moment, and you can see the possibilities of them getting it back together for the playoffs.”
