Over the next 10 hours, we’ll update this thread with trades leading up to the MLB trade deadline at 6 p.m.

Though the trade market was relatively quiet leading up to Monday morning, a flurry of trades occurred between noon Monday and early Tuesday. Those include:

As Tuesday starts, names like Juan Soto, Brandon Drury, J.D. Martinez, Andrew Chafin, Willson Contreras, David Robertson, Michael Fulmer and others have yet to be traded as the time this was posted (8 a.m.).

Stick around on this thread as moves happen. It should be a fun 10 hours.

6:49 p.m.

The last deal of the day seems to be Angels reliever Rasiel Iglesias to the Braves for Tucker Davidson and Jesse Chavez.

The Mets finished the day acquiring Darin Ruf and Mychal Givens. The Mets confirmed the return for Givens here.

6:07 p.m.

As deals trickle in, we’ve learned Whit Merrifield was traded to Toronto, where he couldn’t play a couple of weeks ago because he wasn’t vaccinated.

Also, Ken Rosenthal reports the Cubs aren’t dealing Willson Contreras or Ian Happ, and the Rangers aren’t trading Matt Moore.

5:56 p.m.

The Mets have acquired reliever Mychal Givens from the Cubs, SNY’s Andy Martino reports.

Also, the Yankees have traded pitcher Jordan Montgomery to the Cardinals for centerfielder Harrison Bader, per Robert Murray.

5:50 p.m.

Ken Rosenthal says the Phillies are “close” to acquiring Noah Syndergaard. He’d be back in the NL East. ESPN’s Jayson Stark reports Mickey Moniak and another prospect will go back to the Angels.

5:45 p.m.

Tigers reliever Michael Fulmer heads to the Twins, per Jon Heyman.

Heyman also says the Yankees have talked to the Marlins about starter Pablo Lopez.

5:13 p.m.

With about 45 minutes to go before the deadline, it’s expected the price for Willson Contreras is too high.

Other trades that have happened include:

4:30 p.m.

The Padres traded for Brandon Drury in another splash move. Their offense was supercharged today with Soto, Bell and now Drury.

3:43 p.m.

The Mets have made a deal!

SNY‘s Andy Martino says the Mets have acquired righty bat Darin Ruf from the San Francisco Giants. The team reportedly traded J.D. Davis in the deal. They also dealt pitching prospects Thomas Szapucki, Carson Seymour and Nick Zwack.

In other trade news:

2:23 p.m.

Jeff Sanders reports that the San Diego Padres are sending first baseman Eric Hosmer to the Boston Red Sox. The return for the Padres is pending, but they’re expected to eat most of the salary owed to Hosmer over the next three-plus seasons.

2:14 p.m.

Pat Ragazzo reports that the New York Yankees are trading outfielder Joey Gallo to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for pitching prospect Clayton Beeter.

1:38 p.m.

Craig Mish reports that the Miami Marlins are trading relievers Anthony Bass and Zach Pop to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for shortstop Jordan Groshans.

12:58 p.m.

Eric Hosmer is not in the Soto deal, per Bob Nightengale, but the trade will still happen.

12:25 p.m.

The Juan Soto deal is done.

A trove of prospects are heading to the Nationals, and Soto and Josh Bell are heading to San Diego.

Apparently Eric Hosmer is in the deal, but he has a partial no-trade list and the Nationals are on it. It remains to be seen how that will he resolved.

11:14 a.m.

Mark Feinsand reports the Royals are active in trying to move Michael A. Taylor and relievers Scott Barlow and Josh Staumont. He also says the Rockies are listening on starter Chad Kuhl and reliever Carlos Estevez. (Interesting, given they just signed the 37-year-old Daniel Bard to an extension rather than get an asset out of him.)

Also, Orioles closer Jorge López was traded to the Twins.

10:23 a.m.

Ken Rosenthal reports the Mets and Rays are in on Wilson Contreras, and the Padres view him as a backup if they lose out on Soto.

Similar to reports last night, the Phillies are in on Noah Syndergaard along with the Blue Jays.

9:52 a.m.

Jon Heyman reports the Padres are trying to acquire both Juan Soto and Josh Bell from the Nationals. That’ll cost a pretty penny. Jim Bowden says the deal would be “centered around” prospects C.J. Abrams, Robert Hassell III, Adrian Morejon and “at least two others.”
