It’s the second half of the season. New York City is always better when both the Mets and the Yankees are good and finally, these two teams get to face off tonight!
The Yankees have powered through opponents this season with a +200 run differential and an expected win-loss record (69-28) that is even better than their actual (66-31). That being said, the Yankees are 5-5 over their last 10 games.
The Mets offense finally woke up late in the last game of the Padres series, scoring eight runs. The Mets have a run differential of +82 on the season, the best in the NL East.

Taijuan Walker gets the start for the Mets tonight.
