The New York Mets will battle the New York Yankees this afternoon in sunny Port St. Lucie. RHP Jacob deGrom makes his spring debut for the Mets and he’ll oppose RHP Ivan Nova for the Bombers in what should be a sold-out Tradition Field. First Pitch is at 1:10 PM.

Right fielder Curtis Granderson, who was battling a case of pinkeye, has resumed wearing his contact lenses and will play his first game of the Grapefruit League season today.
David Wright, Sandy Alderson and Jeff Wilpon flew back to New York on Tuesday night, so that they could attend the memorial service at Citi Field for Shannon Forde. The beloved Mets media relations director lost her long battle with breast cancer and passed away on Friday night at the age of 44. Rest in peace, Shannon.
