Seth Lugo gets the early morning game for the Mets. He is 3-1 over four games and 25 1/3 innings this year with a 3.55 ERA, 4.41 FIP and 1.342 WHIP. He is coming off of a good start against Miami where he held the Marlins to six hits and one walk over six innings allowing three runs (two earned). His second start this season was against the Nationals where he allowed four runs, (three earned) on seven hits and two walks in 6 2/3 innings of work. Last night was New York’s sixth walk-off loss this year. The Mets had three walk-off losses last season and had four such losses in 2015.

Curtis Granderson hit a pinch-hit, game-tying home run with two outs in the ninth inning last night. The last Met to do that (ninth inning or later) was Damion Easley on April 24, 2007 vs. Colorado when Easley tied the game 1-1 with a pinch-hit home run in the bottom of the 10th inning.
