Righthander Zack Wheeler takes the hill tonight against the Miami Marlins at 7:05 PM in Jupiter. Wheeler will oppose RHP Tom Koehler for the Fish.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast on WOR 710 AM and former Mets closer John Franco will be calling the game, the first of three spring training games he will be calling.

The Mets will play a pair of split-squad games Saturday and Sunday against the Chicago Cubs in Las Vegas, with Bartolo Colon and Jenrry Mejia getting the starts. Sandy Alderson leads a Mets contingent that also includes Terry CollinsDavid WrightCurtis Granderson and Travis d’Arnaud.

Ruben Tejada, who is in a 1-for-15 slump, gets his third start batting leadoff and will play short.

Josh Satin is having a great spring and is batting cleanup with Wright and Granderson in Vegas. With all the talk about Duda and Davis, Satin has looked good at first and Collins said he’s impressed.

Wheeler has yet to give up a run this spring in two starts. In six innings pitched he’s allowed five hits and a walk and struck out six. In his last start Wheeler was working on his changeup and was disappointed after the game. I’m looking forward to hearing how he does to night.

Enjoy the game.
