The Mets snapped their five-game losing streak last night. New York is 4-6 in its last 10 games and 15-20 since the All-Star break. The Mets are 1-3 on their nine-game homestand. New York is 27-35 at home this year, including 8-11 since the All-Star break. The Mets are 11-23 in day games.

Jacob deGrom is 13-6 over 24 starts and 158 2/3 innings with a 3.35 ERA, 3.66 FIP and 1.160 WHIP. His last start was the first time since June 6 that he allowed more than four runs in a start as he allowed five runs over 7 1/3 innings against the Yankees. Before that, he was on a tear and let’s hope he gets right back on it. He hasn’t faced the Marlins since April 15 where he allowed two runs over seven innings while striking out 13. The Marlins have the following numbers against him:

The Mets bats will get a look at Adam Conley today who is 5-5 over 13 games and 12 starts over 66.0 innings with a 5.32 ERA, 4.83 FIP and 1.485 WHIP. August has not been kind to Adam who has pitched 16 2/3 innings over three starts allowing 22 hits, leading to 12 runs, 11 earned (5.94 ERA). His first three outings this year were against the Mets. His first start was good where he allowed one run from a solo homer (the only hit as well) and three walks in five innings. Then he allowed the solo shot to d’Arnaud in the 16th inning of the long game against the Marlins in April. Two days later he pitched six innings against the Mets allowing three runs on four hits and two walks. The Mets have the following numbers against Adam:

NOTES:

Jacob deGrom is 9-3 with a 2.18 ERA (21 earned runs/86.2 innings) and 89 strikeouts in his last 12 starts. DeGrom tied the single-season franchise record for wins in consecutive start with eight from June 12-July 24. He is tied for seventh in the majors with 13 wins. He ranks eighth in the NL with a 3.35 ERA.

Wilmer Flores has 15 homers, one shy of his career high. Flores has three seasons with 15 or more homers at age 25 or younger. Only Darryl Strawberry (five) and David Wright (four) have more. Lee Mazzilli and John Milner also had three such seasons. Flores has hit .290 (27-for-93) with six homers vs. left-handers this year and since 2016, he’s hitting .316 (61-for-193) with 17 homers.

Yoenis Céspedes has four homers, eight RBI and seven runs scored in his last 11 games. Céspedes has nine homers and 24 RBI in 42 career games vs. Miami.

Michael Conforto  has a career-high 26 homers. He is fourth in the majors with 12 second-half homers. Giancarlo Stanton is first with 18. Conforto has five homers and nine RBI in his last 14 games. Conforto also has 24 RBI and 23 runs since the break. He is tied for 11th in the NL in RBI since the All-Star break and is tied for ninth in runs scored.
