Yesterday was a whirlwind day for the Mets. Early in the afternoon they announced they were demoting Conforto and promoting Nimmo to the majors. Then the Jose Reyes reunion became official. After all that, Jacob deGrom pitching 8.0 innings of shutout ball, but the Mets couldn’t score a run for him. Thankfully, Kelly Johnson hit a go-ahead solo homer in the 11th, and the Mets won the game Today they look to take the series behind Bartolo Colon as he matches up against Bud Norris.

Now Colon is back! In his last 6 starts he has pitched 33.0 innings with a 1.91 ERA. Colon’s last start against the Braves was tremendous as he allowed no runs over 8.0 innings while striking out 7.
