Yesterday was a whirlwind day for the Mets. Early in the afternoon they announced they were demoting Conforto and promoting Nimmo to the majors. Then the Jose Reyes reunion became official. After all that, Jacob deGrom pitching 8.0 innings of shutout ball, but the Mets couldn’t score a run for him. Thankfully, Kelly Johnson hit a go-ahead solo homer in the 11th, and the Mets won the game Today they look to take the series behind Bartolo Colon as he matches up against Bud Norris.
