RHP Trevor Williams (1-3, 3.53 ERA) vs. RHP José Urquidy (5-3, 4.99 ERA)
SNY • WCBS 880 AM
The Mets took three-of-four from the Marlins and now head to Houston the play the Astros in a two game set. (Then they play the Marlins again, then the Astros again. What a schedule!)
The Astros sit on top of the AL West at 41-25 with a plus-53 run differential, going 5-5 over their last ten games. They are one of two teams in the AL West with a positive run differential. The Astros are also only 8-7 this season against teams above .500. For comparison, the Mets are 25-15 against teams above .500.
The Astros right now are cruising towards a playoff berth. These two days, and the two days next week when the Astros come to Queens, provide another chance for the Mets to show the baseball world what we have.

Game Notes
The first round of All-Star ballots were revealed Tuesday. Pete Alonso was second among first basemen, and Starling Marte was fourth among outfielders. Francisco Lindor (third), Jeff McNeil (third), Eduardo Escobar (fifth) and J.D. Davis (fifth) were all among the top five at their positions.
Jeff McNeil is out of today’s lineup after leaving Monday’s game with right hamstring tightness. He’s still considered day-to-day.
Max Scherzer will pitch in a rehab start in Binghamton starting at 6:35 p.m. Feel free to follow along with that here, too.
Let’s go Mets!
