The Mets come back home after a critical series win in DC. On Wednesday, Steven Matz tossed an absolute gem as he led the Mets to a 2-0 win vs the division leaders, bringing the season series vs the Nationals to an even 3-3. Now the Mets welcome the Dodgers into town for their only trip this season.
Since his major league debut on May 15, 2014, deGrom’s 2.66 ERA is the fourth best mark in the majors (min. 200.0 IP), behind Clayton Kershaw (1.89), Jake Arrieta (2.00) and Zack Greinke (2.49).

May has been rough for Jacob who pitched 23.1 innings with an 0-1 record recording 16 K’s and a 4.63 ERA. This year he has been incredibly posting a 1.10 ERA over 8 games, 7 starts in the incredibly hitter friendly PCL league.
