The New York Mets drafted one of the best prep bats in the draft when they got shortstop Colin Houck with the 32nd overall pick and they took a familiar face with the 56th round pick in Florida right-handed pitcher Brandon Sproat. You can read more about both picks from us here. The slot value for the Houck pick is $2,607,500, and it’s $1,474,500 for the Sproat selection.

Day two of the 2023 Major League Baseball Draft will start at 2 p.m. ET today from Seattle, Washington. Day one was certainly important, as the Mets grabbed two of the Top 50 prospects available in the draft. Still, on Wednesday, they will be making numerous early picks that include compensation selections.
