AAA: Rochester Red Wings (58-75) 3, Syracuse Mets (55-78) 8 Box Score

The Mets scored eight runs on 12 hits en route to a second straight win over the Rochester Red Wings.

JT Riddle broke a 2-2 tie with an RBI double in the second inning. Mark Vientos would add some insurance in the third with his 24th home run of the season, his first since August 23. Syracuse would add another two runs in the inning on a Yolmer Sanchez RBI double.

Luis Guillorme went 2-for-3 with an RBI while playing third base in a rehab start. He’s now 4-for-10 in three games with Syracuse as he prepares to rejoin the Major League team.

Jesus Vargas let up a pair of runs in the first inning but would settle down afterward, not allowing a run over his final three frames.

Tylor Megill followed up Vargas with a clean fifth inning, striking out one. Megill has allowed two runs through 7.2 innings between Binghamton and Syracuse as he works his way back from a shoulder strain that’s sidelined him since June 17.

Josh Walker would earn his first win of the year in Syracuse as he allowed a run on two hits over two innings.

AA: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (51-77) 5, Portland Sea Dogs (69-61) 11 Box Score

Binghamton jumped out to an early 5-0 lead, thanks to a five-run third inning, but ultimately dropped another game to the Portland Sea Dogs after allowing nine runs between the seventh and eighth innings.

Wyatt Young opened the scoring for the Rumble Ponies with his sixth home run. Ronny Mauricio added on with a two-run homer later in the inning. The 21-year-old shortstop has hit safely in four-straight games, going 6-for-17 in that span.

Garrison Bryant was solid for six innings, allowing just two runs, but would implode in the seventh inning where he’d give up four runs en route to the loss.

Binghamton’s bullpen couldn’t stop the bleeding as Justin Courtney and Josh Hejka combined to allow five runs in 1.2 innings.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (70-60) 3, Winston-Salem Dash (56-74) 0 Box Score

The Cyclones scored three runs on nine hits in a 3-0 shutout victory over the Winston-Salem Dash.

Joe Suozzi broke a scoreless tie in the seventh inning with a solo home run, his eighth of the year. Brooklyn would extend their lead to 3-0 on RBI singles from Alex Ramirez and Jose Peroza later in the inning. Ramirez is now 8-for-27 with three doubles to start September.

Jeffrey Colon was dominant as he earned his first win with the Cyclones, allowing just three hits and a walk while striking out eight over seven shutout innings. Colon has allowed just three runs in his first 25.1 innings in High-A after pitching to a 3.23 ERA in 47.1 innings in St. Lucie.

Daison Acosta pitched two hitless innings to earn his second save of the year.

Low-A: St. Lucie Mets (71-55) 0, Fort Myers Mighty Mussels (68-57) 4 (F/7) Box Score

St. Lucie mustered just three hits over seven innings in a rain-shortened loss to the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels.

Kevin Parada picked up his fifth hit (all singles) through eight games in Low-A.

Calvin Ziegler struggled with his command for 2.2 innings, allowing two runs while walking four. The 19-year-old right-hander has struggled of late, allowing nine earned runs in his last 6.1 innings.

Raimon Gomez was a bright spot for St. Lucie on the mound, striking out two in a perfect inning. Gomez has allowed just two earned runs in his last 11 innings.
