On Monday morning, it was announced that the Marlins cancelled their game tonight following eight additional players (12 total now) and two coaches testing positive for COVID-19.

Marlins’ CEO Derek Jeter released a statement on the outbreak.

Later in the morning, it was announced that the Yankees vs Phillies game in Philadelphia for Monday was cancelled. The Phillies hosted the Marlins over the weekend when the outbreak occurred.

Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that Major League Baseball has called a meeting with all 30 owners on Monday at 12:30 p.m. ET.
