Pirates Ready To Wheel And Deal

According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, the Pirates are making starting pitcher Jordan Lyles, and outfielders Melky Cabrera and Corey Dickerson available in trade discussions. Lyles, Cabrera, and Dickerson are all on the end of their contracts, and are contributing so far this season.

The Pirates, 45-50, are four games out in the Wild Card race, but most of their core, veteran producers this season are coming off the books next season and seem to be heading to a retool, and maybe a rebuild.

Mike Minor Likely To Be Traded Soon

Minor, 31, has another year left on his contract at $9.5 million, and a no-trade list. The members of the list are not known, but the existence of the list was revealed over the summer.

Morosi Tweeted: “Sources: Mike Minor is increasingly likely to be traded in the next two weeks, as I reported a short time ago on @MLBNetwork. The #Brewers and #Phillies are among the interested teams, although there’s no indication that a deal is close.”
