Friday night marked the non-tender deadline with a few notable players entering the free agent market including first baseman Matt Adams, right-handed reliever Hector Rondon and left-handed reliever Xavier Cedeno.

The 29-year-old Adams was non-tendered by the Atlanta Braves after hitting .274/.319/.522 with 22 doubles, 20 home runs and 65 RBI in 2017. He’s been a solid defender (14 DRS in his career) at first and played 19 games in left field this past season.

Rondon, 29, struggled with the home run ball in 2017 (1.6 HR/9) but set a career-high with 10.8 K/9 in 57.1 innings for the Chicago Cubs in 2017. He struggled though posting a 4.24 ERA, 4.12 FIP and 1.22 WHIP.

The right-hander had his best season in 2015 when he had a 1.67 ERA, 2.68 FIP, 2.2 WAR and 30 saves. Fastball velocity wasn’t a problem for Rondon in 2017 as he averaged 97 MPH on his fastball for the fourth straight year.

Cedeno, 31, spent most of the 2017 season on the disabled list for the Tampa Bay Rays with a forearm injury before he returned for only three ugly innings in September.

You don’t have too look back far though to find success for Cedeno who had a 2.64 FIP and 9.4 K/9 in 2016 and a 3.26 FIP and 9.2 K/9 in 2015.

Other notable non-tender names include right-handed pitcher Bruce Rondon, Mike Fiers, Zach Putnam, Jared Hughes and Tom Koehler, infielders Ryan Goins and Hanser Alberto.
