According to Dan Hayes of The Athletic, the Twins have signed pitchers Rich Hill and Homer Bailey to one-year deals.

Bailey, 33, had a bounce back season in 2019 when he had a 4.57 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 2.9 fWAR in 163 1/3 innings between the Royals and A’s. The right-hander was coming off three straight season’s of posting an ERA of at least 6.00.

Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports that Bailey is getting $7 million guaranteed.

The left-handed Dick Mountain pitched in only 58 2/3 innings for the Dodgers in 2019. In that time though, he had a 2.45 ERA and 72 strikeouts. He’s expected to miss the start of the 2020 season after having primary and revision surgery on his left elbow earlier this offseason.

According to Rob Bradford of WEEI reports that the deal guarantees Hill $3 million and he can earn up to $9.5 million with incentives.

The Twins have been active in the pitching market with starter Jake Odorizzi accepting the qualifying offer, re-signing right-handers Sergio Romo and Michael Pineda, claiming Matt Wisler off waivers, and bringing in veteran reliever Tyler Clippard. They also lost free agent pitchers Kyle Gibson and Martin Perez to the Rangers and Red Sox respectively.
