According to Robert Murray on Twitter, the Padres are acquiring right-handed starter Mike Clevinger from the Indians.

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports the full deal as follows:

RHP Mike Clevinger, OF Greg Allen, and PTBNL to the Padres for OF Josh Naylor, C Austin Hedges, SS Gabriel Arias, LHP Joey Cantillo, and SS Owen Miller.

Clevinger, 29, has a 3.18 ERA through four starts this season. He’s coming off a 2019 season in which he had a 2.71 ERA, 169 strikeouts, and 4.1 WAR in 21 starts for the Indians.

The former fourth round pick is under team control through the 2022 season.

Padres have now acquired catchers Jason Castro and Austin Nola, reliever Trevor Rosenthal, and first baseman Mitch Moreland as they look to make a serious run in 2020.
