According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Toronto Blue Jays have acquired right-handed pitcher Taijuan Walker from the Seattle Mariners.

Walker, 28, is 2-2 with a 4.00 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 3.13 K/BB in five starts covering 27 innings for the Mariners this season. Walker signed a one-year, $2 million deal in February to return to the Mariners organization.

The Blue Jays will send a player to be named later to the Mariners, this way the trade piece doesn’t have to be someone from the 60-player pool.

At 15-14 on the season, Toronto is currently in a playoff spot.
