Cool video of Mike Piazza taken Last night during the Knicks game at the Garden. When asked what hat he wants to wear when elected to the Hall of Fame, he responded:

“It’s gotta be the Mets. No question.”

Piazza’s election should be secure. He is considered to be one of the most productive offensive catchers in the history of the game, and is one of only 15 players with a career .300 average and 400 home runs. He’s a 12-time All-Star and holds the record for home runs hit by a catcher with 396, with a career total of 427. He also had at least one RBI in 15 consecutive games for the Mets in 2000, the second-longest RBI streak ever.
