It’s been 15 years since the Mets had tickets like these to sell.

The Mets will host their first World Series at Citi Field and the tickets for their home games are currently among the most expensive ever in baseball history and can smash the all-time record for the highest priced tickets for an MLB event ever..

Our own Joe D. reached out to TiqIQ this morning, who gave him the latest on the secondary market pricing.

Mets World Series Tickets are the hottest tickets in town, in the country, in the world.

“The average price of Mets home games for the World Series is $1,614.82,” said vice president Chris  Matcovich are at historic levels.

“Currently this is the 2nd highest priced MLB event we have ever tracked. Only tickets for the 2013 Red Sox Game 3 at Fenway Park averaged higher at $1,660.96, and that record could be shattered very soon.”

He broke down the average prices per game for Joe as follows, and you can click on each game’s link for up to the minute tracking and availability:

  • Game 3 — Average Price $1546.16. Get in $705
  • Game 4 — Average Price $1554.27. Get in $731
  • Game 5 — Average Price $1713.22. Get in $777

The most expensive ticket currently available for Game 3 at Citi Field is in Section 112 Row 1 (Behind Mets dugout) for $12,100+, or as Terry Collins would say, Yowzers!
