Wednesday night’s series finale between the New York Mets and the Washington Nationals has been postponed due to heavy rain.

No makeup date for the game has been announced. The Mets next play in Washington on Aug. 25 when the two teams start a three game series.

Right-hander Jacob deGrom (8-3, 3.55 ERA), who was due to pitch tonight, will now start on Friday when the Mets open a three game series against the Cardinals in St. Louis. He will be opposed by RHP Carlos Martinez (6-7, 3.15 ERA).
