The New York Mets have traded right-handed pitcher Gabriel Ynoa to the Baltimore Orioles for cash considerations.

The move creates the 40-man spot needed for recently re-signed Fernando Salas when his deal becomes official.

Ynoa, 23, made his Major League debut in 2016 with the Mets in a relief appearance. He would go on to have a 6.18 ERA and 1.80 WHIP 10 games (3 starts) that covered 18.1 innings in the majors.

In his minor league career, Ynoa has gone 59-30 with a 3.36 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 3.72 K/BB ratio over 795.1 innings.
