Mets outfield prospect Wuilmer Becerra was added to the 40-man roster this offseason to protect him from the Rule 5 draft. Becerra had surgery on his throwing shoulder last summer, but told our photographer that he felt great and hasn’t had any setbacks in his recovery.

Infield prospect Gavin Cecchini gained some upper body strength during his workouts this offseason as you can see. The 23-year old is known for having a good line drive stroke while hitting the ball to all fields.

The right-handed Corey Taylor capped off a strong 2016 with 1.93 ERA and 0.93 in 14 Arizona Fall League innings. He was the Mets seventh round pick in the 2015 and could be on the fast track to the majors after getting an invite to big league camp this spring.
