The Mets are close to rounding out their coaching staff.

According to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com on Twitter, the Mets are slated to tab Tom Slater as the team’s assistant hitting coach.

Slater, 49, worked with current Mets hitting coach Pat Roessler in the Yankees organization from 2009-14.

When Slater is confirmed as assistant hitting coach, here is how the staff will stack up:
