GAME ONE: METS 1 – BRAVES 0

In his first start since 2010, Johan Santana hurled five scoreless innings, and after David Wright struck with a go-ahead RBI single in the sixth off Tommy Hanson, the Mets’ bullpen shut the door on the Braves to preserve the Opening Day victory.

GAME TWO: METS 4 – BRAVES 2

Lucas Duda belted a pair of homers to back R.A. Dickey as the Mets defeated the Braves to clinch the opening series victory. David Wright also went deep, and Josh Thole’s two-out RBI single in the fifth inning put the Mets ahead for good.

GAME THREE: METS 7 – BRAVES 5

Fresh off signing an extension, Jon Niese took a no-hitter into the seventh, then settled for a win as Daniel Murphy and Ruben Tejada each notched two-run doubles. Trying to pick up starter Mike Minor, Brian McCann and Jason Heyward led a late Braves rally that came up short.

YEAH, BABY!!!
