The New York Mets have signed veteran left-handed reliever Justin Wilson according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The deal is for two-years, $10 million per Jon Heyman of FanCred, and is pending a physical.

Wilson, 31, had a 3.46 ERA, 3.64 FIP, 1.43 WHIP, and 0.7 bWAR last season in 54.2 innings for the Chicago Cubs. The lefty walked 33 batters in that span, but also struck out 69. He held righties to a .707 OPS and lefties to a .643 OPS during the 2018 season.

The former fifth round pick of the Pirates had a fine 2017 season when he posted a 3.41 ERA, 13 saves, and 3.38 FIP between the Detroit Tigers and the Cubs.

He joins a revamped Mets bullpen that has signed Jeurys Familia and Luis Avilan this offseason, as well as trading for Edwin Diaz.

The Mets 40-man roster is currently full, they will need to make a move to accommodate Wilson when the deal is made official.
