The Mets announced they’ve signed utility man Max Moroff and outfielder Jarrett Parker to minor league deals with invitations to major league camp.

Moroff, 26, played in 20 big league games for the Indians this year. He was 4-for-32 with 16 strikeouts while playing shortstop, third base, and second base. The former Pirate also has experience in left field and right field.

The switch-hitter slashed .238/.381/.400 with six doubles, five home runs, and 15 RBIs in 41 minor league games (mostly Triple-A) in 2019.

Parker played in five games for the Angels in 2019, going 1-for-12 with three walks and eight strikeouts. The 30-year-old is a career .249/.330/.441 major league hitter with most of that coming with the Giants from 2015 to 2017.

The left-handed hitter can play all three outfield spots and has been a positive defender in left field (4 DRS/0.9 UZR) and center field (2 DRS/0.9 UZR).

The former second pick hit .266/.394/.535 with 24 home runs, 75 RBIs, and 125 wRC+ in Triple-A this year. Parker was with the Giants while news Mets’ bench coach Hensley Meulens was there as the hitting coach, and he’s also a CAA client.
