The Mets have been extensively rumored to have interest in adding a reliever or two this offseason and a name that has surfaced is Mike Minor.

According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Mets are among the teams interested in the southpaw’s services this winter.

Minor, 29, had a strong year with the Kansas City Royals, pitching to a 2.55 ERA, 2.62 FIP and 1.017 WHIP in 77.2 innings (65 games).

While he pitched well against both righties and lefties, he was especially dominant against the latter, holding them to a .163/.228/.196 clip.

Minor had a strong bounce back year after missing two seasons after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum.
