As per Jon Morosi of MLB Network, free agent left-handed reliever Andrew Miller is drawing preliminary interest from a handful of teams including the New York Mets.

Miller, 33, owns a 3.98 earned-run average over his 13-year career, with a 2.21 ERA since 2012, when he began pitching out of the bullpen exclusively.

He’s spent the last two-plus years in Cleveland, pitching to a 2.22 ERA in 125.2 innings with 13.3 strikeouts and 2.8 walks per nine innings, respectively.

According to Morosi, Miller is “drawing active interest from the [Cardinals], Phillies, and Mets, among others”, adding that “he’s not yet close to signing a new contract”.

The Mets need for an upper-echelon left-handed option out of their bullpen is magnified after losing their most recent LOOGY, Jerry Blevins, to free agency.
