With the many home runs the Mets have hit in recent days, they’ve reached 113 home runs at Citi Field this year. That is a new franchise record for single season homers at home.

Juan Lagares tied the record with his second home run of the day on Thursday against the Diamondbacks. The Mets didn’t take long to break it, as Tomas Nido broke the record on the very next pitch.

The overall home run record for the Mets was set in 2017 when they mashed 224 home runs, but at the time of this article, the Mets have 216 in 2019. They will blow past that record in the same season that Pete Alonso also blew through the Mets single-season home run record.
