The New York Mets announced on Saturday that they have selected the contract of Donnie Hart from Triple-A Syracuse and DFA’d Eric Hanhold to make room on the 40-man roster.

Hart, 29, was acquired by the Mets in August via a waiver claim also from the Milwaukee Brewers. The left-handed reliever has appeared in five games (7 2/3 innings) at the major league level this season in which he allowed no runs, four hits, four walks while striking out three batters.

Hanhold, 25, was acquired by the Mets as a player to be named later for Neil Walker in 2017, but has had little major league experience thus far, only appearing in three games at the major league level in 2018.

At Triple-A Syracuse in 2019, Hanhold registered a 3.84 ERA and 1.484 WHIP in 48 games (63 1/3 innings) with 7.7 K/9 as compared to 3.7 BB/9.
