The New York Mets have announced that they have recalled RHP Tim Peterson and INF Jack Reinheimer from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Peterson has been bounced back and forth between the majors and Triple-A a couple of times this season. In 20 big league innings, the righty has a 2-2 record and has posted a 6.53 ERA and 20 strikeouts.

The Mets claimed Reinheimer off waivers from the Diamondbacks on July 31. In nine games since joining Vegas, he is hitting .231/.333/.423 with two doubles and a home run. Defensively, he is a slightly above average fielder at second, third ,and shortstop.

In a corresponding roster move, the Mets have optioned INF Luis Guillorme and RHP Jacob Rhame back to Vegas.
