The Mets have deepened their bench by recalling infielder Matt Reynolds from Triple-A Las Vegas.

In a corresponding move, the Mets have optioned left-hander Sean Gilmartin to Vegas, the team announced on Twitter.

Reynolds, 26, appeared in 47 games for the Mets in 2016, hitting to a .225/.266/.416 clip with three home runs and 13 RBI’s in 89 at-bats.

Reynolds was hitting .300/.364/.360 (15-for-50) for the 51’s in 2017 at the time of his promotion.

Gilmartin, 26, appeared in just one game in 2017 for the Mets, tossing 2/3 of an inning, with one hit allowed.

In his major league career, Gilmartin has a 3-3 record, with a 3.69 ERA in 65 games.
