According to Mark Feinsand of MLB, the Mets are promoting infielder Luis Guillorme after the team acquired Devin Mesoraco and Todd Frazier was placed on the disabled list.

In his last 10 games alone, he has hit .441 with one homer and 10 RBI. Altogether on the season, he owns a slash line of .300/.394/.433 with one homer, 15 RBI and 14 walks.

While he won’t hit for much power, Guillorme has proved he can get on-base, as evident by his high OBP this year and .376 OBP with Double-A Binghamton in 2017.

In a corresponding move, the Mets have demoted catcher Tomas Nido.

Nido, 24, batted just .135/.179/.162 with no homers and one RBI in 39 plate appearances in his time with New York this season.

The Mets will now roll with the tandem of Mesoraco and Jose Lobaton until Kevin Plawecki returns from the disabled list.
