The New York Mets have placed star outfielder Yoenis Cespedes on the 10-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain according to Jon Heyman of Fan Rag Sports.
In the corresponding move, the Mets have recalled left-handed pitcher Sean Gilmartin from Triple-A Las Vegas.
There is no current timetable for the return of Cespedes.

After Thursday’s 7-5 loss to the Atlanta Braves, the New York Mets said that Yoenis Cespedes had a hamstring strain in his left leg and his currently en route to the hospital to receive a MRI.
Mets manager Terry Collins admitted after the game that Cespedes may be out a while according to James Wagner of the New York Times.

New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes left Thursday’s game against the Atlanta Braves in the bottom of the fourth inning with an apparent injury to his left hamstring.
Cespedes hit an opposite double to lead off the fourth, but hobbled as he neared the second base bag and immediately left the game. The Mets are initially calling the injury a hamstring pull.
The Mets star just returned to the lineup on Wednesday after being out since April 20 with tightness in his left hamstring.
Juan Lagares came into the game for Cespedes.
