The Mets announced on Thursday afternoon that they’ve placed outfielder Michael Conforto on the injured list and recalled infielder Luis Guillorme.

Conforto has been dealing with a tight hamstring and now his 2020 season is officially over. The 27-year-old finishes the fantastic season hitting .322/.412/.515 with 12 doubles, nine home runs, 31 RBIs, and posted a 2.0 WAR.

Michael missed two games before trying to give it a go on Wednesday, he went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in that game.

Guillorme returns to the Mets after being optioned last week. The 25-year-old is hitting .347/.431/.429 in 26 games this season while playing shortstop, third base, and second base. He’s also tossed a scoreless inning.
