The New York Mets announced that they have sent Corey Oswalt to Triple-A Syracuse and have recalled Drew Gagnon.

Oswalt, 25, pitched three innings in relief of Jacob deGrom Friday night, allowing four earned runs on three hits, two walks, and three strikeouts. On the season as a whole, Oswalt has pitched to a 12.15 ERA and 6.26 FIP in 6.2 innings, striking out five and walking six. He has a 2.250 WHIP.

Coming back for another stint with the Mets is the 29-year-old Gagnon, who has already appeared in a game for the Mets at the Major League level in 2019. He pitched 5.1 innings in relief that game, allowing six runs (five earned) on seven hits and one walk while striking out five.
