Center fielder Carlos Beltran was named National League Player of the Week today.

Recently coming off the DL, Beltran showed everyone he was healthy and ready to play some ball.

In the last two series against the Pirates and the Nationals, Beltran went 9-for-24 with 4 homers and 10 RBI’s. Sunday was his best day when he went 2-for-3 with 2 homers against the Nats helping the Mets earn the sweep.

This is the second time this season Carlos Beltran has earned NL Player of the Week. Moises Alou and David Wright were runners up for the award.
