While the bat is catching up, Mitch Voit‘s speed continues to be his biggest asset. The Mets’ No. 5 prospect collected his team-leading 36th stolen base on Sunday and now sits in third for most stolen bases in the South Atlantic League. He leads all Mets affiliates in steals, with Ji Hwan Bae trailing him with 34 steals.

OF John Bay continued his torrid 2026 campaign with another multi-hit day, while Jose Ramos and Jeremy Rodriguez both had big days at the plate. Meanwhile, Dedniel Núñez worked a scoreless inning as he continues his way back to the big league club after season-ending Tommy John surgery in 2025.

Triple-A Syracuse

Syracuse Mets, 2, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, 3

Box Score

Christoper Morel led the Syracuse offense on Sunday, producing both of the Mets’ runs. Since joining the team on a minor league deal on July 1, Morel is hitting .333/.410/.704 with five home runs and 13 RBIs across 16 games. Meanwhile, Ryan Clifford struck out thrice after posting a three-hit day on Saturday. The Mets’ No. 7 prospect has struck out 24 times in 59 at-bats in July.

  • RHP Jack Weisenburger: 3.0 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 2 K, 0 BB (6.44 ERA)
  • RHP Dedniel Núñez: 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 0 K, 1 BB (3.86 ERA)
  • LHP Jefry Yan: 1.0 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 K (2.77 ERA)

Weisenburger allowed zero runs in an outing for the first time since June 6. In that time span, the right-hander allowed 20 earned runs across six starts. However, the 28-year-old delivered his best outing for Syracuse in quite some time. Meanwhile, Núñez continues to fine-tune his pitch arsenal as he works back from Tommy John surgery. Hitters are mustering a .167 batting average against Núñez in his six appearances with the Mets.

  • CF Jose Ramos: 4-for-5, 3 R, HR, 3 RBI (.744 OPS)

Ramos went deep for the second consecutive day with his 15th homer, good for second-best on the Rumble Ponies behind Nick Lorusso.

Armbruester hasn’t missed a beat during his quick ascent through the Mets’ minor league system. New York selected him in the minor league phase of the 2025 Rule 5 Draft, and he’s pitched to a 1.21 ERA across three levels in 2026 in 22.1 innings.

High-A Brooklyn

Brooklyn Cyclones, 6, Jersey Shore BlueClaws, 1

Box Score

  • SS Mitch Voit: 2-for-5, 2B, 2 RBI, R, SB (.745 OPS)
  • C Ronald Hernandez: 1-for-4: 2B, RBI, R (.703 OPS)
  • 3B Andy Ibañez: 2-for-4, R (1.000 OPS)

Voit, the Mets’ No. 5 prospect, stole his team-leading 36th base of the season. He is third in the South Atlantic in steals, behind John Gil (43, ATL) and Tony Santa Maria (42, TB). Ibañez continued his rehab assignment after landing on the Triple-A IL on June 23.

Chirinos began the season with a 2.45 ERA in April and a 2.30 ERA in May; however, he has pitched to a 4.85 ERA in June and a 4.58 ERA through four starts in July. Walks have plagued him the past two months. In 26 innings in June, Chirinos walked 11 batters, and has walked 10 batters in 17.2 innings in July. For comparison, he walked just four batters in 14.2 innings pitched in April, and six batters in 27.1 innings in May.

Single-A St. Lucie

Fort Myers Mighty Mussels, 8, St. Lucie Mets, 11

Box Score

  • SS Elian Peña: 2-for-5, RBI (.732 OPS)
  • 3B Jacob Reimer: 1-for-3, 2B, 2 R, 2 RBI (1.267 OPS)
  • CF Trey Snyder: 0-for-2, 2 RBI, R (.793 OPS)
  • 2B Jeremy Rodriguez: 4-for-4, 2B, 2 R, RBI (.552 OPS)

Reimer, on rehab from Binghamton for a groin injury, is having a season to forget. After posting a .282/.379/.491 line across three levels in 2025, the third baseman has mustered a .212/.332/.391 line in his 50 games with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies before injury. He’s hitting .400 in his rehab assignments, so there’s hope he can regain the swing he found success with in 2025.

  • RHP Zack Mack: 1.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R (1 ER), 0 BB, 2 K (2.25 ERA)

Hall, the Mets’ sixth-round Draft selection in 2025 out of Central Missouri, struggled in his first appearance for the St. Lucie club. He couldn’t escape the first inning, threw 29 pitches, with just 13 for strikes. The Mets’ No. 24 prospect appeared in six games for the FCL Mets this season, pitching to a 1.17 ERA through 7.2 innings, striking out six and walking one.
