Mets Minors Recap: Vientos, Ramirez Hit Two Home Runs

Two of the Mets’ top hitting prospects, Mark Vientos and Alex Ramirez, both had two-homer games on Tuesday night.

The St. Lucie Mets magic number to win the first half division title is down to one!

Well, the Mets had 17 runs in the first six innings of this game behind multiple guys going off. Dom’s Triple-A line in 10 games got a nice boost after he was on base five times.

Vientos is now hitting .329/.398/.709 with nine home runs in his last 20 games.

Palka leads the Mets minor leagues with his 14 home runs this season.

Mauricio has walked a whopping five times in his last 25 plate appearances after walking only six times in his first 198 plate appearances of the season.

Ramirez had his first career multi-homer game of his career and also had a rare two-walk game as well.

The 20-year-old Gomez was up to 99 mph on the night, a number he’s hit on multiple occasions this season. Gomez has 9 whiffs on 18 swings against his fastball during the impressive outing.

Juarez, 21, now has 41 strikeouts in 26 innings this season out of the bullpen for St. Lucie.
