Former fourth-round pick JT Schwartz had an all-time great day at the plate for Binghamton in a thrilling game, while Kodai Senga continued his rehab assignment in the first game of Syracuse’s doubleheader. Senga could rejoin the Mets in the near future if the team is pleased with his progress.

Cam Tilly rebounded nicely from his last start and had a terrific outing today, blanking the Threshers over five innings.

Clearwater Threshers (33-20) 5, St. Lucie Mets (24-29) 3, 7 Innings

Game 2 Box Score

  • DH Elian Peña 1-for-2, 2 BB, RBI
  • SS Antonio Jimenez: 1-for-4, RBI
  • RF Randy Guzman 1-for-2, BB, RBI

Peña continues to stay hot as he manages to get on base four times in a day, in which the St. Lucie offense had little to no life. Guzman also continues to stay hot with an .843 OPS.

Ware pitched well, bouncing back from a rocky outing in his last start. The only blemish on his line was a solo home run by Jaeden Calderon. Unfortunately, Clearwater scored four unearned runs in the seventh inning, thanks to some shoddy defense by St. Lucie.
