Kodai Senga allowed two runs on four hits, struck out two, and walked one over 3 1/3 innings Friday for Low-A St. Lucie. He was making his first rehab appearance since being placed on the injured list with lumbar spine inflammation on April 28. The 33-year-old threw 36 of 63 pitches for strikes, and his fastball topped out at 97.7 mph. Senga went 0-4 with a 9.00 ERA and 1.95 WHIP for the Mets over five starts before he got hurt.

Simon hasn’t allowed a run in two appearances for Syracuse after pitching to a 2.35 ERA over 15 1/3 innings at Binghamton.
