Reyes, Campos, and Franklyn Kilome combined for nine shutout innings and every position player in Syracuse’s lineup recorded at least one hit as the Mets beat Scranton handily.

Lee’s hit was a line drive, opposite-field single to left. He also walked twice, raising his walk rate to 20.9%. Blankenhorn’s homer was a fly ball to right-center and his single was to center, extending Syracuse’s lead to five runs.

Sanchez had his best start of the season, finally getting his first win. The 25-year-old Campos made his Triple-A debut and retired six of the seven batters he faced.

AA: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (29-44) 3, Hartford Yard Goats (24-51) 1

Box Score

Hartford scored a run in the bottom of the first, and the score remained 1-0 until Binghamton rallied for three runs in the top of the ninth for a dramatic come-from-behind win.

Cortes hit his 23rd double of the season on a fly ball to center. Nick Conti tried to score from first but was thrown out at the plate. Rincon hit his first double since the Mets traded for him. It came on a fly ball to right in the ninth inning and set up runners on second and third with nobody out with Binghamton still trailing by a run.

Senger had another nice offensive game. The 24-year-old catcher’s wRC+ since being promoted to Binghamton earlier this season now sits at 130 in 125 plate appearances.

Oller was great, pitching into the seventh and striking out a season-high 10 batters. Edwards provided length out of the bullpen and pitched extremely well. He has yet to allow a run in 8 1/3 innings since being promoted to Binghamton. Allan Winans got the final out of the game to get his third save of the year.

A+: Doubleheader Game 1: Brooklyn Cyclones (30-43) 4, Jersey Shore BlueClaws (33-42) 0

The game was scoreless for three innings before Brooklyn took a lead that they wouldn’t give up. Alvarez hit his 10th double since joining Brooklyn, which came on a soft fly ball to center field. He also singled on a sharp line drive to center. Mauricio’s single was a grounder to center. He also hit his 14th home run of the year (sixth in July) on a line drive to right field. Both hits came as a left-handed hitter.

Lasko continued to perform well. His ERA with Brooklyn dropped to 2.61 and his walk rate is under 6.0%. Montes de Oca raised his strikeout rate to slightly over 30.0% after his three punchouts.

Brooklyn only managed four base runners in Game 2 of this doubleheader as they were shut out by Jersey Shore.

Alvarez’s hit was a line drive to left field. His wRC+ in his 187 plate appearances with Brooklyn is 119. Mauricio made a throwing error and a fielding error in six innings at shortstop. He also singled as a right-handed hitter on a ground ball to left field.

Ginn made his second start with Brooklyn. Through 10 2/3 innings, he has struck out 26.2% of batters faced and hasn’t walked anyone yet.

A-: Daytona Tortugas (37-39) 8, St. Lucie Mets (40-36) 2

Box Score

A big offensive game from Peroza wasn’t enough as St. Lucie got crushed by Daytona.

Peroza hit his seventh home run and 15th double in this contest. His homer was a fly ball to right-center and his double was a sharp line drive to center field. His wRC+ is now a sparkling 142. Palmer got a day off from playing defense and singled on a line drive to right field. Ramirez’s strikeout rate rose to 35.9% after he punched out three times.

Sammy Tavarez threw two scoreless innings in relief but neither Parra nor Liam McCall performed well, combining to give up all eight Daytona runs.
