Las Vegas 51s (52-78) 8, Salt Lake Bees (65-65) 1 Box Score

It looks like Jeff McNeil is starting to adjust the Las Vegas atmosphere. He might be someone who gets taken in the Rule 5 draft but the Mets could protect him if he shows them enough.

Mateo has seven scoreless innings as a starting pitcher this season. Rhame now has two scoreless innings under his belt as a Met. Callahan has given up a lot of base runners but has been pretty good in terms of ERA as a 51.

Charlotte Stone Crabs (64-61) 6, St. Lucie Mets (57-69) 3 Box Score

The big news story was the return of David Wright. Wright has been battling a host of injuries but finally made his way back onto the field.

Columbia Fireflies (65-61) 14, Greenville Drive (70-57) 7 Box Score

It was a huge offensive game for the Fireflies. Andres Gimenez is just showing off now. His offense has been very impressive given how young he is for the league.

  • LHP Jose Carlos Medina (1-0, 0.00 ERA): 6 IP, 4 H, BB, 6 K

  • RHP Joseph Zanghi (0-3, 2.35 ERA): 1 IP, 2 H, 2 R (ER), 2 BB, 2 K

Ford was good his first inning of work but gave up five in his second inning. He toughed it out and stayed in but his line did not look great in the end.

Hudson Valley Renegades (34-25) 3, Brooklyn Cyclones (15-44) 0 Box Score

The Cyclones went 0 for 9 with runners in scoring position. They are almost 30 games under for .500 for a reason.

Pulaski Yankees (38-20) 5, Kingsport Mets (27-30) 4 F/12 Box Score

Dirocie ranks third in the Appalachian league in doubles with 17. He’s tied for third in home runs with nine. He has always been good at getting on base but that has not been the case this year.. He has shown impressive tools though.

Colon really saved his team with three great innings out of the bullpen. Montijo has been wild this year but has also shown good stuff.

GCL Mets (16-31) 7, GCL Cardinals (23-22) 5 Box Score

Vientos is hitting .316 with two home runs his last 10 games. He looks very comfortable up at the plate after a little struggle. He should be someone to watch going forward.

  • RHP Jason Vilera (3-1, 1.75 ERA): 6 IP, 6 H, 4 R (3 ER), 4 BB, 6 K
  • LHP Jose Sierra (1-0, 0.00 ERA): 2 IP, H, 2 BB, 2 K
  • LHP Joshua Walker (1-1, 6.75 ERA): 1 IP, 2 H, ER, 3 K

Vilera has been great this season, carrying his success over from the DSL. Sierra and Walker are both intriguing lefties. Walker might be a little old for the league.
