Three of the Mets’ four full-season minor league affiliates took losses on Wednesday, but there were some bright spots across the board. Elian Peña and Antonio Jimenez both showed out for St. Lucie, while Nick Morabito put up a solid effort for Syracuse.

The home run ball doomed Syracuse’s night, as Wenninger served up three in his four innings, and Simon got tagged for a two-run shot in the eighth inning, which ultimately proved to be the difference in the game. In between, Joey Gerber threw two scoreless innings, striking out four.

The Rumble Ponies took an early lead thanks to Perozo’s solo homer and Lorusso’s two-run double. Unfortunately, the bats went silent against New Hampshire’s bullpen, mustering no runs on two hits over the final four innings.

Conley was unable to hold Binghamton’s lead, as a three-run fifth inning ended his day. The Rumble Ponies combined to strike out 11 batters, although they also issued seven walks.

The Cyclones were held to just five hits and struck out 13 times in Wednesday’s contest. Voit continued his solid month of June, as he’s batting .292/.397/.438 since the calendar flipped.

Carreno couldn’t work around the traffic on the basepaths, as Wilmington scored in three of the first four innings.

St. Lucie clubbed three home runs, all of which came in the sixth inning. Toledo led off the frame, then Jimenez hit a three-run homer with two outs, and Cuevas followed with one of his own. Peña set the table at the top of the lineup, collecting three hits and raising his OPS to .757.

Obispo turned in another solid outing for St. Lucie, putting his season ERA at 1.67. Mejias retired all six batters he faced in relief.

Frobose had a huge day at the plate, smacking a three-run homer and a two-run single. The team went 6-for-13 with runners in scoring position.

- RHP Jose Lopez: 4 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 4 K
Ziegler made his first professional appearance since 2024, tossing a scoreless frame. Lopez turned in his best outing of the year, lowering his ERA to 4.57.
