Las Vegas (3-3) 6, Sacramento 2 

Vegas defeated Sacramento with six runs scored between the sixth and seventh innings. Gavin Cecchini led the charge going 2 for 3 with walk, upping his batting average to .263. Brandon Nimmo sat out as Roger Bernadina played Center field and batted leadoff against Chris Stratton. Travis Taijeron went 1 for 4 with a double and 3 strikeouts batting .261 for the season. T.J. Rivera went 2 for 4 and is hitting .333 on the year. Matt Reynolds went 0 for 3 with a walk and two strikeouts, batting .300.

Seth Lugo pitched six innings, giving up one run on seven hits, and giving up six strikeouts. Jeff Walters came on to relieve and gave up one run on three hits. Binghamton (3-2) 12, Erie 2 

L.J. Mazzilli led off and played 2nd base and went 3 for 6. Niuman Romero hit three doubles as the star of the 12-run onslaught. Dominic Smith went 2 for 5 with a double, his second in two games, while driving in two, upping his average to .227. Maikis De La Cruz went 2 for 5, hitting a home run, and driving in three.

Knuckleballer Mickey Jannis tossed six hitless innings, and seven scoreless innings. Jannis gave up a 2-run home run in the 8th inning and was replaced by Mike Hepple, who shut down Erie for the last two innings. Jannis struck out five, and gave up three hits.

Dunedin 3, St. Lucie 0 (5-3)

St. Lucie splits the 4-game series with the Blue Jays affiliate. St. Lucie was shut out by Lefty Ryan Borucki, while performing several base running blunders. Patrick Biondi was the only player to have a multi-hit game, going 2 for 3. Luis Guillorme was the only player to hit for extra bases with a double in the first inning.

Chris Flexen started out rocky as well, giving up a 2-out home run in the first, followed by three more hits, and three more runs in the first inning. Flexen rebounded to pitch 6.2 innings, while giving up 2 extra hits, while striking out 6. Robert Coles and Jimmy Duff both threw scoreless innings. Wuilmer Becerra is still out with a nagging injury. Amed Rosario, who has been in the 3-spot all week, DH’d today going 1 for 4 and struck out once.

Columbia 4 (4-3), Greenville 1 

Columbia won their first ever home game, and extended their winning streak to 4 after sweeping the Rome Braves. Ivan Wilson led off the Fireflies scoring with a double in the first, and scored. He finished the game 1 for 4, but struck out twice. Kevin Kaczmarski tripled him in, and then was driven in by a Vinny Siena sacrifice fly. Columbia scored 2 more in the bottom of the 8th with three straight doubles from Siena, David Thompson, and Dash Winningham. Columbia struck out 12 times however, with newly-activated Tucker Tharp having three of the 12, and Milton Ramos having 2.

P.J. Conlon started the game and went 6 innings, giving up one run on 8 hits. while striking out 5. Seth Davis and Johnny Magliozzi combined to throw 3 scoreless innings.
