AAA: Rochester (27-16) 5, Syracuse (14-27) 4 BOX SCORE

Mangum was making his Triple-A debut following his promotion from Double-A Binghamton. The strong defensive outfielder shares a similar skill set to Mets outfielder Travis Jankowski, though Mangum is a switch hitter and has a little more pop.

The 28-year-old Dini homered for the second straight game and for the fourth time in seven games after not homering in his first nine games of the season.

Struggling outfield prospect Khalil Lee returned to Triple-A after a short hiatus to Low-A St. Lucie. Lee went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts and now has a .443 OPS in Triple-A this season.

Former Mets pitcher Logan Verrett allowed just one run in 6 1/3 innings with eight strikeouts against Syracuse on Tuesday night.

Syracuse made a ton of roster moves before the game: outfielders Carlos Cortes and Quinn Brodey sent down to Double-A with Lee and Mangum replacing them. Veteran right-hander Tommy Hunter was placed on the 7-day injured list. Hunter was recently signed by the Mets and made only two appearances for Syracuse before making the injured list. Outfielder Carlos Rincon was activated off the injured list.

AA: Binghamton (13-26) 4, Reading (17-23) 3, F/10 BOX SCORE

Álvarez, the Mets top prospect, hasn’t hit a home run since April 17th and has struck out in 10 of his last 20 at-bats.

Third base prospect Brett Baty hasn’t played since last Friday with no indication of why to this point.

Wyatt Young hit a sac fly in the top of the 10th inning to give the Rumble Ponies a rare 2022 win.

The submarining Hejka has now allowed just one run in 16 2/3 innings this season between Brooklyn and Binghamton, he has 20 strikeouts in that span.

Fireballing Bryce Montes de Oca had trouble with command on Tuesday, but he induced a game-ending double play in the bottom of the 10th. The big right-hander doesn’t allow many balls in play (14.85 K/9), but when he does he’s almost certainly getting a ground ball as he ranks No. 1 out of 1810 minor league pitchers with his 76.9 ground ball percentage. Oh by the way, he’s been up to 102 mph with his fastball.

A+ Brooklyn had their game postponed and they will play a doubleheader on Wednesday

Low-A: Dunedin (18-22) 6, St. Lucie (26-14) 2 BOX SCORE

Rare no-hit night for the 19-year-old Ramirez, he leads the Florida State League with 54 hits.

Omar De Los Santos swiped his 22 base of the season, that leads the Mets minor leagues and is tied for fifth among all minor leaguers. He has been caught stealing just twice.

  • LHP Javier Atencio (2.25 ERA) 4 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 68 pitches/44 strikes

Atencio, 20, was making his stateside debut after posting a 2.44 ERA and whopping 76 strikeouts in 48 innings in the Dominican Summer League last season. Baseball America has Atencio ranked as the Mets No. 23 prospect.

The left-hander was impressive in his debut with a fastball up to 94 mph and a curve in the 78-82 range. He also had a 40% whiff rate on his changeup.

The St. Lucie Mets also made a ton of roster moves before the game with right-handed starters Mike Vasil (No. 19 on BA’s hot sheet this week) and Carson Seymour getting promotions to Brooklyn.

The Mets decided to add right-hander pitcher Joel Diaz to the St. Lucie roster as well. Diaz, the Mets No. 11 prospect on my list, will pitch the entire season at just 18 years old. He had a 0.54 ERA in the Dominican Summer League last season.

The Mets also released the following players on Tuesday: RHP Dan Goggin, RHP Colby Morris, RHP Jaison Vilera, RHP Evy Ruibal, and OF Antoine Duplantis.
