Jacob Reimer and A.J. Ewing continue to be two of the best players in the Double-A Eastern League despite being there for only a couple of weeks following their promotion from High-A.

Triple-A

Syracuse Mets (64-64) 1, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (76-49) 6

BOX SCORE

The Mets got great news with center field prospect Carson Benge returning to the lineup after a short IL stint. It was also supposed to be a good night for Francisco Alvarez (UCL sprain in right thumb)in his first rehab game. He doubled in his first at-bat, but in his third plate appearance, he was hit by a pitch on his left hand and was taken out of the game. Carlos Mendoza said the Mets are evaluating Alvarez’s left pinkie.

Both Richard Lovelady (1.1 IP) and Dylan Ross (2 IP) had scoreless outings out of the Syracuse bullpen. Ross has held Triple-A hitters to a .447 OPS over his last 20 games.
