If you have not familiarized yourself with A.J. Ewing by now, it might be time to amend your ways. Ewing found a way to get on base all three times he got to the plate on Friday, raising his OPS in Syracuse to 1.534. So far in his four games in Triple-A: 8-for-13, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI, 3 BB, and 3 SB. Down in Single-A, Randy Guzman crushed his sixth home run of the campaign so far, which places him in a tie for the lead in the Mets minor league system with Ronny Mauricio and AJ Salgado. Cam Tilly backed him up with a strong quality start, striking out six over six innings of work.

The aforementioned A.J. Ewing got on base three times and continued his hot start in Triple-A in a rain-shortened affair for the Mets on Friday, where they were able to pick up a win. A.J. Minter continued his rehab work by opening the game, where he allowed a hit and an unearned run, but otherwise escaped unscathed. Bryce Conley came in to pitch the remaining four innings and allowed two runs while striking out four. Nick Morabito added two hits, including a double, and swiped his eighth base on the year.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats (14-9) 11, Binghamton Rumble Ponies (9-16) 4

Friday was not the best of performances for the Binghamton pitching staff, as continued struggles saw them drop to 9-16 on the season. Jordan Geber started the game and coughed up six runs in his three-inning stint, and Kevin Gowdy allowed three runs of his own. A two-hit day for Jose Ramos highlighted the offense, with three runs driven in, and Jacob Reimer had two hits of his own.

High-A

Frederick Keys (13-11) 5, Brooklyn Cyclones (6-18) 2

Box Score

Wehiwa Aloy and Victor Figueroa did the damage against the Cyclones in this 5-2 loss, where Jonathan Jimenez was tagged for the brunt of the damage. He did strike out six in his four innings of work, however. Nate Lavender fired a scoreless inning as he continued his rehab work. The Cyclones only managed three hits on Friday, and Mitch Voit continued his struggles, going hitless and striking out twice.

A solo home run was the only blemish on Cam Tilly’s performance on Friday, where he dazzled over six innings. This was the longest start of the year for the 2025 draftee, and he struck out six while allowing just four hits and a walk. Although Elian Peña made his third error in the field out there, he made up for it by getting on base twice and stealing a base yet again. Randy Guzman left the yard for second straight day, which was his sixth on the year. Simon Juan added a solo shot in the eighth inning, and AJ Salgado followed suit with Randy Guzman for his sixth on the year as well. Salgado finished a single short of the cycle, raising his OPS to .911 on the year. Peña leads the St. Lucie Mets in OPS so far, sitting at .936.
